Privacy Policy
Effective April 27, 2026
Married Next (“Married Next,” “we,” “us”) is operated as a sole proprietorship in the United States. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you use marriednext.com, any subdomain we provision for you (for example, yulissaandmatthew.marriednext.com), and related services (the “Service”).
By using the Service you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information. First name, last name, and email address you provide when creating an account.
- Payment information. If you purchase a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details; we retain Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and basic billing metadata (plan, status, last four digits as shown by Stripe).
- Wedding content. Information you upload or enter to build your wedding site, including photos, RSVP responses, guest names, event details, and any text you publish to your site.
- Site display names on subdomains. The display names you choose appear publicly in your subdomain and on your wedding site. Subdomain provisioning is handled through Vercel and Porkbun.
- Log and device data. Standard server logs, IP address, browser/device type, referring page, and pages visited, collected automatically when you use the Service.
2. How We Use Information
- To create and maintain your account and your wedding site.
- To process payments, send transactional email (sign-in, receipts, account notices), and provide customer support.
- To operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service, including analytics and abuse prevention.
- To communicate product updates and, where permitted, marketing messages you can opt out of at any time.
3. Service Providers and Sharing
We share personal information with third-party service providers that process data on our behalf:
- Stripe— payments and billing.
- Vercel— hosting, subdomain provisioning, first-party analytics, and performance monitoring.
- Porkbun— domain registration and DNS for subdomains.
- Database / authentication host(Supabase or an equivalent managed Postgres provider) — storage of account and wedding content.
- Transactional email provider— delivery of account and service emails.
- Analytics and advertising platforms— Vercel Analytics / Speed Insights, product analytics (such as PostHog or Mixpanel), and advertising platforms (such as Meta and Google) for measurement and retargeting. See “Cookies and Tracking” below.
- AI providers— Anthropic and OpenAI, used to power features that generate or assist with content. See “AI Features” below.
We may also disclose information to comply with law, enforce our terms, protect rights, safety, or property, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
4. AI Features
Some features of the Service send your content (such as text you enter or content from your wedding site) to AI providers including Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI to generate suggestions or assist with editing. We configure these providers to process your content for the purpose of delivering the requested feature and for service improvement only; where the providers offer it, we use settings that prevent your content from being used to train their general-purpose models.
5. Cookies and Tracking
We use the following categories of cookies and similar technologies:
- Strictly necessary— authentication and session cookies required to sign in and use the Service.
- Analytics— Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights, and product analytics tools, to understand usage and improve the Service.
- Advertising— pixels and tags from platforms such as Meta and Google to measure marketing performance and serve retargeting ads.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. California residents and others with applicable rights can opt out of advertising tracking using the link in “Your California Rights” below.
6. Public Wedding Content
Wedding sites you publish are intended to be visible to the people you share them with. Display names you choose appear in your public subdomain. Do not publish content you do not want to be publicly accessible. RSVP responses and guest list entries are visible to you as the account holder and to collaborators you invite.
7. Children
The Service is intended for adults planning a wedding. We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13. We recognize that guest lists you enter may include the names of minors invited to your wedding; we treat that information as wedding content under your control. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us directly, contact us at privacy@marriednext.com and we will delete it.
8. Data Retention
We retain account and wedding content for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time, which removes your personal information and wedding content from active systems. We may retain limited records (for example, billing records, security logs, and information required to comply with legal obligations) for a reasonable period after deletion.
9. Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your California Rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to: (i) know what personal information we collect, use, and share; (ii) request access to or a copy of your personal information; (iii) request correction or deletion of your personal information; and (iv) opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of advertising cookies and pixels (such as Meta and Google) may qualify as “sharing” under California law. You can opt out by emailing privacy@marriednext.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information,” or by enabling Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
To submit any other privacy request, email privacy@marriednext.com. We will verify your request using information associated with your account before responding.
11. International Users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at this URL and update the “Effective” date above. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-product notice where appropriate.
