How to add a guest

Add an invitation and everyone who shares it — including plus-ones — so their RSVPs show up on your guest list.

On Married Next, guests are grouped into invitations — everyone who shares one invitation RSVPs together (a household, a couple, a family). You add guests by adding an invitation.

Where to find it

  1. Sign into your Married Next account at https://marriednext.com

  2. Navigate to your guest list at https://marriednext.com/engaged/guests

  3. Select the “Add Invitation” button in the top right. (On your very first invitation, select “Add your first invitation” in the middle of the page.)

You’ll land on the “Add invitation” page at https://marriednext.com/engaged/guests/add — the subtitle reads “Add everyone who shares one invitation — they RSVP together.”

How to add your guests

  1. In the first row, type the guest’s name in the “First guest’s name” field. A name is required; email is optional.

  2. Optionally add their email in the “Email (optional)” field — you’ll need it to send an email invite later.

  3. To add more people to the same invitation, select “Add guest” and fill in each new row. You can add up to 8 guests per invitation.

  4. Select the “Add Invitation” button.

You’ll see a confirmation — “Invitation added” — with a summary like “Added to your guest list — 3 heads across 2 guests.” From there you can “Copy RSVP link,” select “Add another,” or select “Back to guest list.”

Every guest needs a name before you can save. If a name is missing or an email looks wrong, the form shows how many “things need fixing” and marks the rows.

Adding a plus-one

  1. On a guest’s row, select the “+1” toggle to mark that they’re bringing a plus-one.

  2. A “Plus-one name — optional” field appears. Enter the plus-one’s name if you know it, or leave it blank to add an unnamed plus-one for now.

A plus-one becomes its own line on your guest list under the guest who’s bringing them, with its own RSVP status. You can fill in a plus-one’s name later — see How to edit a guest.

Sending as you add (optional)

The “Send it now” panel on the right lets you invite people the moment you save — by email or with a shareable link. It’s off by default; leave it off to send later. For the full walkthrough, see How to invite guests & share your RSVP link.

That’s it — your invitation is saved, and everyone on it appears on your guest list with a “Not Responded” status until they reply.
